"The Wisdom of Him Who Knoweth All Things"

There are a few verses that have stuck out to me lately, but I read a verse that describes what has been on mind for the last couple years.  In chapter 2 of 2 Nephi, Nephi teaches about the Fall and it is in verse 24 that he states, "But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things." Nephi discusses this in reference to the Fall, but as a stand alone verse, it is profound.

It is easy to look back in the good times and see where God's hand has been in your life.  It is good to look back in the good times and be grateful for what God has done.  Lately, I have been keeping a tender mercy journal to look back and see God's hand in my life every day and I can testify that He is there.

It is however, a lot harder when things happen to us that don't appear to be so great in the moment.  We may look back later and realize that what happened was indeed a tender mercy, but in the hard moments when things happen that we don't understand, we often tend to ask why and be upset.  We often question why things happen to us and how this is a good thing in our life at all.  We ask how a loving God can let something so hard happen to us or those we love.  We act like we know better than God.  However, we need to always remember to trust in "Him who knoweth all things."  Everything always tends to work out.  God loves us.  He will not desert us.  He is our perfect Father and as such, He will never treat us wrong or lead us astray.  Remember, "All things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things."
